It's been a busy week of learning at SA, both inside and outside of the classroom! Third grade explored at Camp Thunderbird, fifth grade visited Reynolda Gardens and the Wake Forest Museum of Anthropology, students in grades 1-8 visited Horizons Unlimited for STEM activities, and eighth grade students soaked up history at the Old Stone House.

Thank you Corporate Partners
Broyhill Scholar Ada Wong. The SA Broyhill Scholarship Program is supported in part by our Corporate Partners.
Dear SA Families:

Each new school year brings new members to SA's Corporate Partner Program, and I'd like to take a moment to thank the partners who supported Salisbury Academy over the 2017-18 school year. Thanks to their commitment to education, Salisbury Academy can offer exceptional programming to our students while supporting the needs and opportunities within our greater community.

As one of the programs that the Corporate Partner program helps make possible, Salisbury Academy's Broyhill scholarships send 10 Rowan-Salisbury high school students to the 5-day Broyhill Leadership Program each summer.  Learn more about this meaningful opportunity in this week's Salisbury Post.
SA's Corporate Partner program provides businesses multiple ways to reach the Salisbury Academy community with their brand and messaging, all while supporting our school's commitment to Engaging Minds and Building Futures. If you or anyone that you know are interested in learning more, please contact the SA Development Office . Thanks again to our Corporate Partners for partnering with us in education!

Kind Regards,

Beverly Fowler, Head of School

See You at the Pole
In a meaningful school-wide tradition, Salisbury Academy's students and staff gathered for their annual "See You at the Pole" program on Wednesday. Held on the fourth Wednesday of September, the student-led rally brings millions of students together in prayer across the globe.

Middle school students led the school community in prayers for their nation, state, city, school, and students, and said a special prayer for flooding victims of the Carolinas. Salisbury Academy Music Director Dr. Rob Robertson led the school community in song.

"This tradition has great meaning and is a joyful time of unity and reflection," said Salisbury Academy Middle School Division Director Jessica Goodman.

"Witnessing our middle school students joining their school community in prayer while connecting with students at rallies around the globe is a powerful sight."
