Avoid the Void in May Term and Summer

Taking classes this summer? Whether you're enrolled online or you'll be here on-campus, your payment deadlines are:

  • May Term 2025: May 7
  • Summer Semester 2025: May 30

If your balance is not covered by the deadline, your classes may be at risk of being voided. Missing the payment deadline could also put students living on campus at risk of being removed from their residence hall and/or having their meal plan suspended.

Feel like you need a little flexibility? The 3-installment payment plan may be a great option for you! Click here to learn more.\

Need help covering your balance? The USA One Stop team is here to assist you with potential options.

FERPA

The University of South Alabama has made it easier for you to manage who can access your educational records. You can now use the South Alabama Family Connection platform to give parents, guardians, or others permission to view certain records.

Once you log in with your JagNet credentials, you can choose exactly what to share—such as grades, financial aid, or registration info. You’ll both get an email confirmation once access is granted.

Your permissions stay in place until you update or remove them, so you’re always in control. This system helps protect your privacy while keeping the people you trust in the loop.

Top 5 JagPack FAQs for Summer 2025

What is JagPack?

JagPack is South’s textbook rental program for undergraduate students.

How much does JagPack cost?

Only $22 per credit hour each semester!

What is and is not included in JagPack?

JagPack will include all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes and digital textbook versions to eligible students. It will not include items that cannot be returned and reused, such as lab goggles, dissection kits, molecular model kits, engineering kits, art supplies or nursing kits.

How does the JagPack process work?

- Register for your classes, and the USA Bookstore will start preparing your course materials.

- You will receive a welcome email from Barnes & Noble 35 days before classes begin outlining next steps.

- You will then receive a second email from B&N 30 days out instructing you to select your delivery preference (in-store pickup at no cost or shipped directly to you for a fee). These emails will come from coursematerials@email.bncollege.com so be sure to check your junk/spam folder to ensure you have not blocked emails from this address.

- An email notification from B&N will be sent when your order is ready for pickup or when it ships. Your digital materials will be delivered for your course(s) within Canvas.

How can I opt out of JagPack?

The JagPack opt out period for the Summer 2025 semester will be between May 5 and June 6. You can use the opt out link provided on the JagPack FAQ page here when the opt out period begins. Please note that you’ll be responsible for obtaining your own materials.
