Jag News to Note
Fall Finals: December 5th-8th
Stay focused, study hard, and make it happen! Finals are almost here and it's time to prepare! Check out these helpful tips to ease your stress as you prep.
Make a schedule: Create a to-do list of all the activities and events you expect during this time. Doing this will help put into perspective how much time you have to study, rest, and socialize.

Utilize your resources: Visiting your professors during office hours, attending study groups, and visiting the Center for Academic Excellence for tutoring are great resources to utilize as you prepare for finals!

Eat well: Avoid filling up on junk food and opt for balanced foods such as fruits, vegetables, proteins, and healthy fats.
Exercise: Visit the Student Recreation Center. Research shows that physical activity increases blood flow to the brain and improves overall memory retention along with energy levels which will help you stay focused during your study sessions.

Get some sleep: In addition to attending classes and practicing good study skills, you should also ensure you get quality rest.
Spring 2023 Avoid the Void
The start of the upcoming spring semester will be here before we know it and along with it comes the balance deadline date. Your Spring 2023 balance must be paid in full by January 4, 2023 to avoid the risk of being voided from your courses.

Students living on-campus who miss this payment deadline may be at risk of being removed from their residence hall and/or having their meal plan suspended.

If you need assistance finding potential solutions to help cover your spring balance, we encourage you to reach out to our USA One Stop team. We are here to help!

Don't forget, South offers a convenient payment plan that will allow you to divide the semester's balance into three or four monthly installments. Click here to learn more.
Electronic Direct Deposit (EDD)

Be sure you have set up your Electronic Direct Deposit (EDD) in PAWS.

Your EDD:
  • ensures secure and timely delivery of refundable aid and/or student emergency stipends,
  • allows for the delivery of refunds directly to your bank account,
  • eliminates delays due to address issues with refund checks,
  • and, most importantly, it saves you a trip to the bank!
