Fall 2023 Financial Readiness Checklist
for Your Student
1.) Review student account balance in PAWS.
2.) Apply for financial aid through the FAFSA and complete all requirements to accept loans, if applicable.
3.) Review scholarship status in JagSPOT, if applicable.
4.) Apply for a private student loan, if applicable.
5.) Enroll in the USA Payment Plan, if applicable.
6.) Set up Electronic Direct Deposit in PAWS.
7.) Create FERPA Password and set up Authorized User, if applicable.
8.) Look into the tuition protection insurance offered through GradGuard.
9.) Bookmark the academic calendar.
10.) Plan to ensure the balance is covered in full or enroll in the payment plan by the August 16th deadline.
11.) Plan to reach out to USA One Stop if questions come up.
