In a recent visit, students painted with TLC participants in an artistic exercise in partnership with the Center for Faith & the Arts. The artwork created will be on display at the Center for Faith & the Arts on Monday, Nov. 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Salisbury Academy is thankful for our community!

In honor of October's Mental Health Awareness Month, SA recently hosted student and family wellness speaker Dr. Michael G. Thompson in an Evening of Learning and Growth for the larger community sponsored by the Salisbury-Rowan Community Foundation as well as hosted a screening of Anxious Nation at the SA Upper School.

Looking ahead, the season of giving holds exciting outreach including the packing of boxes for Operation Christmas Child and a special Christmas party for our friends at Rowan Vocational Opportunities!

In addition to leading two evening sessions for adults on Thursday of last week, Dr. Michael G. Thompson led SA's middle school students in a conversation about navigating the social dynamics of the middle school years.

Community Connections

Quarterly Giving Parties in SA's JK/K

The season of giving extends all year round at SA, where stewardship is central to our mission! JK/K students enjoy quarterly giving parties celebrating students with birthdays that quarter while raising awareness and donations for the featured service partner for the party. At a recent giving party, the partner was Rowan Helping Ministries. Students made soup mixes and donated a combined 176 pounds of food for RHM.

SA Upper School Junior Civitans Begin Making Change in the Community

SA Upper School students are officially members of the newest local Junior Civitan Club, a charter of the Salisbury Civitan Club! After receiving their charter, the club got right to work participating in a clean-up at the West End where they painted, repaired, and cleaned as part of their community impact work.

Second Grade Packs Bags at Food for Thought

In Salisbury Academy's second grade, the class' service partner is Rowan Helping Ministries. Second grade students are connecting with the organization throughout the school year and recently took a field trip to Food for Thought to pack bags of food for children and families in need.
