Ensuring the Safety and Security of Your Jail

Today, jails having an objective classification system is an essential part of ensuring the safety and security of any facility. With an objective classification system, there can be a lower risk of litigation and a safer jail for both staff and inmates. The training will start with an overview of the history and evolvement of classification and housing inmates. There will be an overview of what an Objective Jail Classification System should include and why a valid objective system should be used over a subjective classification system. The training will also include changing requirements and use of Restrictive Housing to include certain inmate population where it should be used only as a last option.
