Sunday, Sept. 27 Brunch Fundraiser

Twenty Years into the Journey

Jajja's Kids will be hosting an exciting brunch get-together Sunday, September 27 from Noon to 4 PM at Revolution Hall located in Brown's Brewing Co. at 425 River Street, Troy, NY 12180.

Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we reflect on two decades of helping children who once lived on the streets of Uganda build brighter futures through education.

We will be celebrating remarkable achievements, inspiring stories, and a look ahead to the next chapter of our journey.

Attendance at the event will help provide educational and vocational opportunities, and hope for young people as they pursue their dreams—from primary school to university and beyond.

Jajja's Kids is so grateful for our supporters. You enable us to serve these amazing young people. We hope you will all join us in this celebration...

  • Board President Connie Frisbee Houde will be serving as Master of Ceremonies and will reflect on activities during the visit including efforts by Board members (all Board Members attended!) and volunteers, Sherry Reinhart and Chelsea Reinhart who joined the group and made significant contributions.

  • Executive Director Diane Reiner will review the organization’s growth and development. Africa Program Director Ronnie Sseruyange will share his perspectives.

    Diane and Ronnie founded
Jajja's Kids in 2006 to help children living on the streets and in the slums of Kampala. In 2012 they opened a home for ten street children and provided them with food, shelter, medical care, education and leadership opportunities.

Today, eighteen previously homeless children have been part of the program and six Jajja’s Kids are enrolled in university programs studying law, engineering, and pharmacy.

  • Board Member Scott Reinhart will describe discussions on strategic planning held with Africa staff and the Kids.

  • Board Members Mary and Steve Kozlowski will offer their perspectives.

  • A live feed with Africa staff and Kids is also planned.

You will find the presentations to be informative and inspiring!
