Abby Eiden
Abby is graduating from Blaine High School, and will be going to UW-River Falls in the fall to major in secondary math education. In high school she played soccer for all 4 years as a goalie, and is currently the boys varsity hockey manager. Outside of school she volunteers at her church youth group and helps out with 3 and 4 year old children on Sundays. Abby participated in dance and gymnastics classes at Jam Hops throughout her youth, and is currently a Gymnastics Coach. Abby said, "I have definitely enjoyed watching the girls I coach grow in gymnastics and in themselves. Jam Hops has impacted me by helping me know that what I am working towards in college will be a good fit for me."
Melina Figueroa
Melina is graduating from Spring Lake Park High School. She will attend a 4 year university to major in marketing and minor in real estate. She has been in competitive gymnastics at Jam Hops, coached gymnastics, and currently is on the competitive dance team. At school she has been involved in cheer, dance team, DECA, FCCLA, Women for Change, and the Current Affairs Club. Melina said, "I have always felt so welcomed and appreciated at Jam Hops. I've always loved how much it feels like a family and is so supportive. Jam Hops has taught me so many life skills I will carry into the future."
Jacie Slater
Jacie will be graduating from Blaine High School. She will be attending college at North Dakota State University, but is unsure of what she will major in. Jacie has been dancing at Jam Hops for 10 years, with 9 of those being on the competitive dance team. She was also on the high school dance team all 4 years of high school. Jacie has also been part of the staff at Jam Hops for 4 years, assisting and teaching classes. Jacie said, "I’ve always loved getting to perform with my team and the connections and bonds I’ve built with my teammates and my instructors over the years."
Erin Southerling
Erin is graduating from Andover High School. She will be studying Cosmetology at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. Erin is a Gymnastics Coach at Jam Hops, and is currently in her 9th year of being a competitive dancer here. She was also on the Andover Dance Team for 2 years. Erin said, "Jam Hops has always been a second home since I was little. I did gymnastics for 15 years on both Xcel and DP, and have been dancing here competitively for 9 years. Being both an athlete and a coach at Jam Hops has truly made an impact on my life because it's such an inspiring and supportive community to be in and I have met some amazing people along the way. I love being part of the #Jamily!"
