(NEW YORK CITY, NY) SEPTEMBER 18, 2019 Jammcard , the booming Los Angeles-founded music tech startup ultimately known as the Music Professionals Network and coined the "LinkedIn for musicians" by Forbes, announces today that they're expanding to New York City. Founded by Elmo Lovano, the app connects the music community by way of an invite-only social network for vetted pros and highly curated, exclusive event gatherings. Lovano is a well-known drummer and musical director who has worked with Juliette Lewis, Skrillex, James Fauntleroy, Miley Cyrus and Christina Perri, among many others.

"I'm beyond excited to build Jammcard New York. We've received a ton of love from NY music professionals already and I can't wait to watch it blossom. The NY music scene is so special and unique. I look forward to doing all we can to connect the dots between all of our cities and grow opportunities for our members nationwide." - Jammcard founder, Elmo Lovano.

Jammcard has built a reputation as one of LA's best kept secrets yet simultaneously has become one of the music industry's biggest players since its foundation. Jammcard is everywhere. The app is credited for assembling live bands for some of today's biggest acts, such as Gwen Stefani, Zedd, Maren Morris, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jason Derulo and Grace VanderWaal, amongst an endless list of today's major touring acts. Over the last year, the startup gained funding from entertainment mogul Quincy Jones and made warm-welcomed expansions to Atlanta and Nashville (see  here in The Tennessean ).

Not only is Jammcard a network for professional musicians, but it extends into curated content like ' How I Got The Gig ,' ' Gear Goggles ,' and more. Their exclusive  JammJam events bring musicians together in one jam-packed room for a one-of-a-kind show that brings together all-stars and special guests for an epic improv showcase. The most recent event featured singer Lauren Jauregui who performed hits like "More Than That" with an all-female focused night that also included surprise guests like Chika, Sheléa and Mads. Prior to that, as covered by  Rolling Stone , the JammJam honored the legendary George Clinton, hitting the stage alongside Ice Cube, Anderson .Paak, CeeLo Green, Eddie Griffin, Battlecat, plus members of the original Parliament Funkadelic, and even Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers (see  here ). Other past performers include Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Robin Thicke and the Soul Rebels, Terrace Martin, Judith Hill, Kamasi Washington and Ty Dolla $ign.

Since inception, Jammcard has been making steady waves in the media, receiving love from  Forbes Billboard , etc. Even this summer, the veil had been lifted beyond industry trade publications with word spreading about Phil Cornish's curation in Kanye's Sunday Service in pop culture outlets  DAZED and GQ ; not to mention the massive appearance of over 50 artists from the network who hit the stage over the two weekends at Coachella this spring, with acts like Childish Gambino, Janelle Monáe, Khalid, and Black Pink, among a handful of  other artists .

Now, due to an overwhelming request for access in the East Coast, the time has come to take on New York City. To celebrate the NYC launch, Jammcard will host one of its trademark invite-only JammJams in early October with some very special local guest appearances.
