AUGUST 6, 2018 - Jammcard, the rising Los Angeles-founded music tech startup ultimately known as the Music Professionals Network and coined the "LinkedIn for musicians" by Forbes, announces today that they're planting roots in the thriving music hub of Nashville. Jammcard, founded by Elmo Lovano, connects the community by way of an invite-only social network for vetted pros and highly curated, exclusive event gatherings. Lovano is a well-known drummer and musical director who has worked with Juliette Lewis, Skrillex, James Fauntleroy, Miley Cyrus and Christina Perri, among many others.
"Nashville is one of my favorite cities. The tap of talent there seems endless and I'm super excited to build our member base there," shares Lovano (Jammcard Founder/CEO). "Our members in Nashville have already started to seed the network and are some of the kindest, hardest working people I've come across. Our team is happy and humbled to have the privilege of building Jammcard in one of the most prolific music cities in the world."
The Jammcard app is credited for assembling live bands for some of today's biggest acts, such as Gwen Stefani, Zedd, Maren Morris, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jason Derulo and Grace VanderWaal, and more. In addition, Jammcard curates its signature monthly live event called the JammJam, which have included takeovers of Tower Records and Capitol Records. The latter event featured a performance by Ty Dolla $ign, who, as a member of Jammcard, volunteered his talents for free. Earlier this year, the app won Best UI/UX at the Good Design USA Award. Jammcard also has partnerships for original content with the GRAMMYs (How I Got the Gig) and YouTube (JammJam VR).
Last month, the community successfully expanded to Atlanta. To celebrate, Jammcard held one of their flagship JammJams with a headline performance by the Trap Jazz All Stars featuring Cassius Jay (Cardi B, Future, Migos), Devon "Stixx" Taylor (Justin Bieber, Post Malone), and Chris "Mox" Moten (D.R.A.M., Bebe Rexha), as well as an improv set featuring Pastor Troy and band members from Outkast, Justin Timberlake, Migos, Musiq Soulchild and more. The JammJam even warranted a surprise appearance by "Trap God" Zaytoven.
Today, due to an immense interest from the Nashville community, Jammcard is expanding to Nashville and accepting applicants to join the network. The community is planning their invite-only celebration, the JammJam, slated to hit Nashville on August 14
