The Kīpuka Center is a resource center on campus for Native Hawaiian students. The center is currently in the beginning stages of being established. We want your input in the creation and design of the center. Please provide your input by clicking the button below to access a quick survey.

New Student Club - Fashion Club

The Fashion Club is a new club on campus open to everyone. Their goal is to have events/workshops such as sewing, knitting, tapa, fashion shows, etc.

The survey is to gather info on interests and club logistics such as meeting times and executive interests. The survey will close on January 31st but if anyone missed the survey, you can still join the club by emailing your interest to vv9@hawaii.edu. The first meeting will be some time in February based on majority vote through the survey.

New International Student Club Meeting Times

Regular meetings are now every Thursday from 1-2 p.m., in Room 123, LRC. Everyone is welcome.

Public Notice of Upcoming Accreditation Review Visit by the ACEN

The Kauai Community College wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its Associate Degree nursing program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN.

You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled for 2pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in OCET 106 C & D of the Office of Continuing Education and Training (OCET) located at 3-1901 Kaumuali`i Highway, Lihue.

Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted directly to:

Online Teaching Licensure Info Session

This session is open to the public and is for anyone who may be interested in learning about our statewide online teacher licensure programs at the undergraduate and graduate level!

The College of Education (COE) at UH Mānoa offers a variety of teacher licensure programs that can be taken from any island in the state. Join us to learn more or ask questions about our programs, funding, available support, tuition costs, and how to apply!

Blessing of the New International Programs Office

Everyone is invited to the blessing of the new International Programs office located in the back of the library near the Kikuchi Center. Want to contribute? Create a poem, short story (max 500 words), painting, or image (max 7.8x7.8 inches) to be included in a special collage.

You can also read your piece aloud after the blessing.

Refreshments will be served.

Kanopy Films is a collection of 10,000 educational documentaries and films that anyone with a Kauaʻi CC login can access. There is no additional cost to students when using these films. For instructors who need help linking or embedding these films into your Lamakū course shells, please contact Jay at the Library or email hjbaker@hawaii.edu.
