The Western Governors’ Foundation (WGF), the philanthropic arm of the Western Governors’ Association (WGA), is excited to announce the 2023 launch of the Western Governors’ Leadership Institute. This program is designed to recognize and reward the effective exercise of leadership by young adults across the West, and to promote and encourage its future development.
Every year the Foundation will select young adults to represent western states, territories, and tribes as Institute delegates and alternates. Delegates will attend the Annual Meeting of the Western Governors’ Association and a one-day leadership development forum. The Foundation will cover all expenses associated with delegate participation.
Eligible applicants for the Leadership Forum must be between the ages of 21 and 25 years old on June 24, 2023. They must also be a permanent resident of a western state whose Governor is an active member of WGA. (California is part of the WGA).
