A little real estate
A little me

´╗┐We may still be inside/sheltering in place/in the middle of a pandemic, but summer is just around the corner. I can't believe June is already here. It feels like just the other day my family, friends and I were eagerly saying goodbye to 2019 and hopeful about 2020. Hindsight is 2020. As we (hopefully) move out of our homes and into our new normal outside, may this month's newsletter help & guide you along the way
Home Improvement
Granite, a long time clean, beautiful & classic choice for kitchen counters, can be costly. Looking for a beautiful, cost-effective alternative to granite? Consider these options:
  • Wood butcher block
  • Engineered surface: silestone or correll
  • Marble
  • Concrete
  • Tile
  • Stainless Steel

DIY Project of the Month - Produce Storage
With summer weather comes summer produce, and all this heavy duty grocery shopping every two weeks + eating at home more has shown me I have no cute, practical storage system for all my cherries, strawberries & sweet potatoes. So below are some great ideas I found to organize the fruit & veggies PLUS add some cute decor to your home!

  • Cute corner vegetable storage bin, from www.anikasdiylife.com, perfect for a corner on the countertop or corner on the floor in the kitchen
  • Two tier wood produce stand: from kj.com, super cute next to the island or next to the end of the counter
  • Wall produce stand: doubles so easily as wall decor and produce storage, from of A Turtle's Life From Me

And if you aren't feeling super DIY-y, Etsy has some excellent options. Support small businesses, too!
Things to do this month
  • Copa Soccer Complex reopening - NOW: a little normalcy is returning for you and your family! Check out more info here.
  • National Donut Day - June 5: Support your fave local business donut shop in celebration of today! I'm a sucker for old-fashioned donuts while the kiddos are all for sprinkles and chocolate.
  • The Virtual Beer Festival, Ep. 3 - June 13 7pm-9pm Check out this interactive beer tasting experience. When you buy your ticket, the beers will be shipped to your door! More info and tickets here.

...now if only the Solano drive-in theater could open back up for all those summertime blockbusters...
