What is your passion?
Physical movement is my passion. The bond it nurtures and strengthens between mind, body, and spirit drives my passion for it. When you move your body, you can feel confident, strong, energized and relaxed all at the same time. I am so very happy and grateful when I get to share this passion with others, especially during yoga practice.
Why yoga?
Because it not only tones the body, but you always leave your yoga session with that "little bit extra". Whether you leave with new insight, a more balanced mind, the letting go of something no longer needed, it truly is the whole package. Yoga is exercise and health for the whole person. It is a duality, both grounding and uplifting, drawing us inwards and simultaneously out into our environment.
What is nourishment to you?
It is anything that positively feeds the soul. Time spent with family and friends, yoga practice, physical exercise, good food, a sunny day, sharing a laugh with someone... fortunately the list goes on and on.
What are you working on?
I'm currently working on being more grounded and mindful. I find that my mind has acquired a taste for being easily tempted into the future or past. As I'm working in this area, I notice that I'm beginning to find sweet pockets of serenity and appreciation for life. Time can slow down, happy memories become stronger ,and the little sweet things in life seem even sweeter.
What would surprise people to know about you?
Hmmm.... maybe that I have been to at least one country in 6 out of the 7 continents by now. I have been to over 21 countries at least, and some of them multiple times. I love travel, new adventures and experiencing different ways of life. And of course travel photography! I'm saving the seventh continent, Antarctica, for sometime in the next twenty years before my fiftieth birthday!
