#Marketreport just in! The weather was cold in December, but data from the NWMLS shows it was a hotter than usual real estate market! With slim inventory (King County listings were down nearly 40% from the previous year) and more buyers on the market, it's a perfect time to reach out and ask about Compass Concierge. This exclusive program allows sellers to get their home ready for the Spring market at it's highest value.

STEF at TCSP
New program founded by TCSP Founding Member Colin Plank
TCSP member Colin Plank founded STEF, Seattle Tennis and Education Foundation, currently serving youth from Mercy and Solid Ground housing at Magnuson Park. STEF is Washington State’s first NJTL (National Junior Tennis Learning ) program. The first NJTL was started by Arthur Ashe in 1969 with a mission to teach underserved youth not only tennis, but also to promote leadership and academic excellence. Now there are over 270 chapters helping kids around the country, and one right here at TCSP! Look for them on courts 1 and 2 on Wednesday and Friday afternoons!

STEF is currently looking for volunteer mentors/coaches on and off-court after school, guest speakers, and anyone else interested in sharing their time and talents. Financial contributions are also always appreciated to support this important work.

Please reach out to Avery West avery@stef4youth.org or Amy Quilter amyq76@gmail.com if you want to help! Thank you!

WELCOME HANS!
NEW COACH AT TCSP

Welcome Hans Podlipnik-Castillo to TCSP. Hans just retired from the ATP Tour. He made the doubles quarterfinals at Wimbledon in 2017. He has numerous wins over the world's current top 10 doubles teams playing for Chile. Hans brings his tour experience to TCSP. He is going to be a great asset to our coaching staff at TCSP.
Member Spotlight: Ray Dalton
During his teenage years, TCSP member Ray Dalton found himself glued to the TV and captivated - watching Pete Sampras and Serena Williams compete! Seeing them play ignited a passion for tennis that keeps the sport on Ray's "must-do" list every week. As it turns out, Ray is also filled with a passion for music and is successfully building a career and recreational life doing what he loves!

With an extremely demanding career as a recording artist, Ray is called all around the world by his ever growing number of professional recording and producing partners. When he finds himself with a break while on the road, he often searches for local clubs to investigate hitting opportunities. On a recent layover in Sweden, for example, Ray found a club named "Good to Great Tennis", which was owned and operated by Magnus Norman, a renowned tennis coach and former ATP World #2 Singles Player. Ray reached out and ended up having breakfast and hitting with Magnus himself! Magnus and Ray shared stories of their experiences and quickly found a connection through tennis and music - some of the world's most universal languages!
