9th Annual Penguin Plunge
Scene from 2019 Plunge
Wednesday, January 1st, 12:00pm, Grinnell’s Beach

The Tiverton Yacht Club is sponsoring its 9th Annual Penguin Plunge at Grinnell’s Beach on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. “Penguins” will gather on the beach around 11:45am and take the plunge into the river at noon. As in previous years, the Penguin Plunge supports the Tiverton Public Library through donations from participants and from supporters who watch the event from the shore.

Come and test (or re-test) your mettle with the help of cheering family, friends, and neighbors. All are welcome, and New Year’s hats, colorful holiday pajamas, and (especially) good tidings are encouraged!

Penguins are encouraged to obtain library donations in advance. You can pick up your pledge form at the Library’s Information Desk or click the button below to download the form. All pledge forms and donations should be brought to the beach at the time of the event.
