JANUARY 2022 NEWSLETTER
January 13 , 2022 | Issue 98

Dear Council of 101 members,

Cheers to the New Year and may it be a healthy one for all of us! My wish is that 2022 brings you happiness, deeper friendships and prosperity.

January is promising to be both busy and exciting for Council of 101.

· We held our Festival of Trees wrap up meeting on January 12. If any chairs were not available to attend please send in a report for your committee that we can share with next year’s chairs. Light refreshments were served and many good suggestions were made. One area of particular interest and discussion was Volunteers.

· Festival of Trees was a wonderful success, thanks to all of you, so you don't want to miss our General Meeting on January 27 when Beth Baker will reveal what we've all been waiting to hear - the details of just how successful we were this year. This is an 11:30 am meeting and a perfect time to invite a guest for lunch.

· January 18 will be flourishing with fun for our first Spring Fundraiser / Art In Bloom committee chair meeting! We will have a great time discussing plans for our spring event which is blossoming into 4 days full of exciting floral interpretations with our amazing exhibitions and special events. If you have interest in chairing a committee or want more details as a committee member please come to this informative meeting. All interested members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Nominating Committee has been hard at work putting together a slate of officers for the 2022-2023 year. Serving on the Board of Directors is an honor and a special experience to work with a close group of women that lead our organization through the year. If you are asked, please seriously consider saying yes. You will be so glad you did. There’s always support when you need it.

We are sadly saying goodbye to Kelley Gorden, who we were all getting to know and rely on as our office administrator. We wish her all the best as she has been called back to another position at Disney. Our new office administrator will be on board later in January and I hope to introduce her at our General Meeting.

Happy New Year,

Joan
