American Heart Month
February is American Heart Month and did you know heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States? According to the Cleveland Clinic: How Race and Ethnicity Impact Heart Disease, there are racial and ethnic health disparities, both social and hereditary factors, that significantly increase one’s risk. However, everyone is at risk for developing this cardiovascular disease and incorporating these small healthy habits today is a great start and can help to protect your heart:

I CAN: Commit to Activity and Nutrition
6 Week Healthy Lifestyle Program
March 26 - April 30

The Be Well at Work Wellness team is excited to announce the return of our I CAN program! I CAN is a month-long, in-person wellness program for beginners. This program includes fun group workouts with a certified personal trainer, a hands-on cooking class, a grocery tour, nutrition workshops, goal setting, and optional fitness testing before and after the program. Past participants appreciated being part of a group and the fun, connection, and accountability this format provides.
Please note, this program has limited spots available, so please consider your ability to commit to the program before registering. The program will run from March 26 until April 30, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:10-1pm.
