Rabbi Goldberg will lead, with Paula Wolfson as cantorial soloist.  

We  thank Ed Weiss for chanting the Torah portion. 
Children are welcome in the chapel, and/or for those ages three to six there is also childcare, with fu n activities including crafts and stories, down the hall. 
A kiddish lunch will follow the service.

The Harmonists
When Harry, a struggling but highly imaginative funnyman, forms a singing group with an unusual group of friends, 'The Harmonists' go on to become an overnight sensation in prewar Germany. But their wave of success inevitably collides with the nation's changing political tide. 

All films will start at 1:30 p.m. followed by a question/answer session. 
The program will conclude by 4:00 p.m.

Harry Rosen, father and father-in-law of our members Eric Rosen and Rachel Nelson and grandfather of Max, Noah and Zoe. Harry Rosen passed away on November 15, 2018.

Jack Blumer, f ather of our member Lorne Blumer. Jack Blumer passed away on November 28, 2018.

Erwin Buncel, father and father-in-law of our members, Jacquie Buncel and Lorraine Gale and grandfather to Aviva and Maya. Erwin Buncel passed away on December 19, 2018.

We wish the Rosen, Blumer, and Buncel families our sincere condolences. May Harry Rosen's, Jack Blumer's, and Erwin Buncel's memories be a blessing and a comfort.


We could not have joined a more welcoming community than the one we found with Congregation Shir Libeynu.  The School is also a great fit for our child, his interests, and our wishes for a progressive Jewish education.

Shir Libeynu Choir

The Shir Libeynu choir will be getting together on Tuesday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m.

Anyone who would like to sing is welcome; no previous experience or Hebrew knowledge is required.

Toronto Jewish Film Society presents its 41st season of Jewish film gems on select Sundays with noted speakers in the Al Green Theatre.

Baycrest Healthy Aging Study

Concerned About Your Thinking Skills or Memory? Are you 60-85 years of age?

Free Training Programs are Available!

Baycrest is comparing the benefits of cognitive training programs to help older adults keep their brain healthy and maintain their independence as they age. Training programs will take place in seniors' centres throughout Toronto  (including beginning in June 2019 at the MNJCC). Programs include group and individual sessions over 10 weeks. Before and after training, participants will be tested at Baycrest to explore training results.
