Self-Help Enterprises assisted the City of Farmersville in securing $1,000,000 in grants from USDA Rural Development and the State Water Resources Control Board in order to extend water services to the community of Cameron Creek Colony where some people are currently living in homes without running water. Construction has started and it's estimated that in the next two months, the extension to Farmersville's water distribution system through Cameron Creek Colony will be finalized.

FUNDING TO AID DROUGHT RELIEF
Self-Help Enterprises is among 45 national organizations selected to receive a grant from the 2014 Wells Fargo Clean Technology and Innovation Grant. The $25,000 grant will be utilized to provide assistance to San Joaquin Valley residents impacted by the drought.

The Wells Fargo Clean Technology and Innovation grant program, funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation, began in 2012 as part of Wells Fargo's commitment to provide $100 million to environmentally-focused nonprofits, colleges and universities by 2020.
ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE FOR HOME SAFETY REPAIRS 
Self-Help Enterprises, in partnership with the cities/counties listed below, is offering housing rehabilitation assistance for qualified homeowners to help make necessary health and safety repairs. Typical repairs include roofing, plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, foundation, windows and handicap modifications. PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: EARLIMART ROTARY CLUB
Self-Help Enterprises joined the Earlimart Rotary Club on January 14 to celebrate the re-opening of Earlimart's only park. The park, a community service project of the Earlimart Rotary Club, features new slides, swings, barbecue grills, and picnic tables.

These new features will be enjoyed by the community, including residents of Self-Help Enterprises' Washington Plaza apartment rental community and families who have built their own homes through the new homes program. Self-Help Enterprises made a contribution to the Earlimart Rotary Club in support of our shared mission to build healthy communities.
