100% of NACCC Leadership Are Financial Contributors

In December an important goal was reached with 100% of the Board of Directors, Board of Governors, Leadership Council and all Ministry council members donating to the NACCC. I am excited about attaining this leadership goal because we also ask 100% of our churches to make a contribution to the Shared Ministries Fund and it is good to be able to say that these elected leaders are fully committed to the NACCC. As of the end of December 53% of our churches have made a contribution to the Shared Ministries Fund , demonstrating their dedication and commitment to the work of the NACCC. Over the next three months, through the end of our fiscal year, March 31, 2020, we will be approaching those remaining churches about their contribution. If every member NACCC church gave a Fair Share contribution, the NACCC would no longer operate at an annual deficit helping to insure a bright future for our association. I’d like to thank the churches and the leadership that have made their contributions!

What is a Covenant?

Hopefully we all know the answer to this question. Each Congregational church has a covenant that binds it to God and one another. Our covenants define who we are as a gathered people of God, centered on Christ and led by the Holy Spirit.

At this year’s Annual Meeting & Conference in June, the Board of Directors will present the member churches with a covenant that will define how we handle sexual misconduct and abuse in our churches. Each church will be asked to consider signing the covenant, agreeing to abide by the guidelines set out by the NACCC regarding situations of sexual misconduct and abuse. Please consider prayerfully the best way to communicate this covenant to your church.

A professional INVESTMENT ADVISOR to manage your church’s endowment funds makes a lot of sense. This is one area where you don’t want an amateur; you need a fiduciary. Is it time you looked at one of the NACCC’s outstanding member-church services? The Congregational Investment Trust (CIT) serves the investment needs of 31 member-churches, and the Oversight Committee, composed of experienced members from member-churches, takes its fiduciary responsibility very seriously. Investment advisor selection, development and review of an Investment Policy Statement, and performance reviews with the investment advisor are some of the tasks performed by this Committee.
