Association of Lutheran Church Musicians

January 1, 2022 e-newsletter
Dear ALCM friends,

As time moves forward so do the surprises and changes of life. On New Year’s Day two years ago we couldn’t have possibly known what our evolving responsibilities would become during an unimaginable roller coaster pandemic. It seems what lies ahead for us remains equally unpredictable. But on this first day of yet another new year we can celebrate that God is always on the journey with us, wherever that journey may lead.

In this e-newsletter note the many ways Lutheran music is alive and serving the Word throughout the country. I give thanks for all you are doing in your worshiping communities and for your loyal membership in our ALCM family.

In 2022 I look forward to again serving with you in leading the song of God’s people, in whatever new ways we find ourselves leading that song, and in whatever seasons of life we may celebrate. May God bless you and your music ministry in this new year and always.

For Grades 8-12

Online, customizable, and completely affordable for the ambitious young musician in your congregation. A perfect way to “try on” the LSM experience!

LSM is thrilled to offer this fully online session to help young musicians tune up their playing and singing with private lessons, explore exciting topics in music, connect with peers from all over the country, and get to know the incredible LSM Faculty.

Pay what you can.
No questions asked.

If the standard tuition rate of $99 is out of reach for any reason, students can select one of three Financial Aid options, ranging from $0-49 on the Enrollment Page. There is also a Gift Tuition option for individuals or congregations who wish to cover the cost for a young musician to participate.
Are you a congregation looking for a musician?
A musician looking for a position?
ALCM can help!

Employment resources have been developed to assist congregations in the process of searching for and hiring a musician. Presented in a step-by-step format, these resources will guide you through the entire employment process.

The ALCM job listing service connects those looking for positions in the field of church music with congregations and other institutions that have openings. By completing an online job posting form, congregations can post their positions on the ALCM website where those looking for employment may view them.

Musicians searching for a job may view posted job openings on the ALCM website, where those looking for positions can view them. Both full-time and part-time positions are listed, and new positions are added as received.
