The Rev. Art McDonald, Guest Minister
Rev. Art McDonald, Minister Emeritus, First Universalist Church of Essex, joins us again this Sunday for Worship. He is active with Essex County Community Organization (ECCO), 2003 to present, and board member for over 10 years. He is also a member of the Advisory Committee of Notre Dame Spirituality Center, Ipswich, MA.
Sunday Morning Childcare . . .
The childcare room is open and offers a safe, play oriented environment for children 4 and under. The church will do its best to schedule childcare workers each Sunday. If no one is able to staff the room on a given Sunday, parents are welcome to supervise their children in the room during worship. If you know someone who might enjoy a paid position watching young children during church, please have them contact the Director of Community Life and Learning at mlapointe@uucgl.org .

Our Church Family
We sadly announce the passing of long time church member, Lydia Breed. Lydia, age 95, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 28, at Abbott House in Lynn, with her longtime aide at her side. Lydia’s ashes will be brought to Louisville Kentucky where other family members are buried. There are no memorial service plans at this time.

Lydia's mosaic "7 Days" can be found above the door to our Fellowship Room library. Her sculpture "Prayer for Unity" is a triad representing three congregations: Lynn Unitarian, Lynn Universalist, and Swampscott Universalist. The wood used for the sculpture comes from the pews of these three churches. This sculpture resides in the church sanctuary.
