Your News & Updates from the Office of Community Engagement and Constituent Services (CECS)
Dear Community Leaders and Members of District 5,

Happy Monday. I hope that you had a great weekend and that the first full week of 2020 treated you well.

Last Friday, County Executive Steuart Pittman announced new guidance for the development and construction review and inspection process that will provide greater transparency to developers and members of the general public. The enhanced policy is aimed at preserving forests through the recently revised forest conservation ordinance and reducing runoff from construction sites. Read more about it in the recent news and press releases section.

Thank you to all of those who made it out to the first two budget town halls. We appreciate your time and involvement in the civic process. There are five more to go, so if you haven't attended one already be sure to read the schedule in the upcoming events section and find one that works with your schedule. Showing up and making your budget requests in person really has an impact when the County Executive and the Council are making the tough decisions about the budget, so show up to have your voice heard.

Best,

Reece Peak
