PRAYING WITH THE ELEMENTS

The Book Study Water, Wind, Earth & Fire has begun, but it's not too late to sign up! The study will give you the chance to dive more deeply into a contemplation of your relationship with nature and explore ways in which praying with the natural elements can enliven Christian spiritual life. Email Suzanne or Amy for more information.

OPENING TO GOD - WAYS TO PRAY

You are invited, through Zoom, to an hour every Friday morning at 10:30 beginning January 22 to find new ways to listen to God. Each week we will have a time of silence followed by lectio divina or guided meditation or another new or different way to pray to God. We will explore practices from many traditions and times. Please email Pastor Shirley at shirley@dayspringumc.org to register or for more information.

SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

Pastor Shirley has served as a Spiritual Director for years and would like to offer this ministry to those at Dayspring who might want to talk with someone else about an issue in life which needs more help from God. Spiritual Direction is not counseling nor therapy but simply a time and space to listen to what God is saying. This could be a short time together or a longer experience depending on the need. Please contact Pastor Shirley at shirley@dayspringumc.org if you would like to explore this possibility.

FAMILY PROMISE

Thank you to everyone who provided food, resources, donations, cooking talents, and/or delivery to Family Promise in December. Thanks to your generosity, we provided food to twice the number of families we generally do. We also made a donation to Family Promise's newest program, the HUMI Prevention Program, which provides rental assistance.

Tax season is quickly approaching and the recommendation is to file early. Please consider Family Promise for your Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. More information can be found here. Thank you for considering.
