On behalf of the HUMC circles, I would like to sincerely thank all of you who contributed to the Candle Burning Service on November 2nd. What a meaningful worship service as the United Methodist Women of Faith both honored and remembered a total of 33 individuals and groups. Because of your gracious and loving support, the final total raised was $655 for global missions. Many thanks for embracing this service as we continue to love others and be God’s servants in His world.

PRE SCHOOL

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open to current HUM Preschool families and HUMC members on February 2nd at 7:00 am. Registration will open to the community on February 9th. Visit humpreschool.com/registration for more information.

MISSION OPPORTUNITY

Our next shared mission is coming up on Feb 19th. We will be working with the seven other United Methodist churches in our district to prepare a meal, once a month, to bless our foster families, over the next eight months. This is a wonderful opportunity to offer comfort, care, and nourishment to those who open their homes and hearts to children in need.

This is what they need:

2 main dishes

2 side dishes

desserts (optional)

There are no special allergies or food restrictions

They will have 12-15 adults and 15-18 children

All cooked items would need to be dropped off at 5 PM on Feb 19,at the Shineforth Office, located in the Disciple Center.

Your generosity helps remind these families that they are supported, appreciated, and surrounded by a community of care. This could

be a great mission for a Circle, a Sunday School class, or just 4-5 members.

Please call the Office and sign up with Dianne. The other seven months will be taken care of by the remaining seven churches.

This Sunday, January 18th, is the LAST day to donate.

SHARE THE WARMTH WITH HERITAGE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The Mission Team is sponsoring a collection of new adult-sized hats, gloves, and scarves for Heritage High School students beginning November 19 and continuing to January 18. Temperatures will soon be dropping! Your donation can make sure a student arrives at school warm and ready to learn! Take advantage of holiday sales and place your items in the “Share the Warmth” display bin in the Narthex. Please do not wrap donated items. Welcome Center on Sunday Mornings!

We are seeking volunteers to help with our Sunday morning hospitality. On Sunday mornings, snacks, coffee, and water are available in the Welcome Center before each service. Pre-packaged snacks are readily available and should be supplemented with fresh items you can easily pick up at your local grocery store. Folks who sign up need to have the Welcome Center ready at 8:45 and clean up after the worship service.More volunteers are needed to buy and put out the snacks on Sunday mornings, make the coffee, and clean up after the worship service (typically takes 15 minutes). More specific directions will be posted in the hospitality kitchen off the narthex. If you can help with hospitality this way, please click the link HERE.
