The Grapevine
January 15 - January 31, 2020 Edition
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower." John 15:1
|
|
From Pastor Jeff Foels:
The scripture for January 12th was the story of Jesus' baptism by John in Matthew 3:13-17. This little story is a kind of introduction to Jesus in that Gospel, and from that short little story, we learn a lot about who Jesus is and how we can be inspired to live. In the sermon, I shared the following as, "Advice from a Baptism."
- Be you
- Embrace people and their gifts
- Don't be afraid of the wilderness
- Do things decently and in order
- Look for the Spirit
- Know that you are loved
Let this advice live in your lives this year!
Grace and peace,
~Jeff
