New NJ REC "Agency" CE Credit Requirement
The New Jersey Consumer Protection Enhancement Act requires one agency CE credit to be completed by the end of the current CE term (2023-2025). To renew your license, you must complete your CE requirements by April 30, 2025 to avoid a $200 late fee.
The New Jersey Real Estate Commission (REC) recently advised NJ REALTORS® that licensees who have already taken specific courses containing agency subject matter (formerly approved in the Core CE category) during the current term will have satisfied their Agency CE requirement.

New Fair Housing &
Anti-Bias Training Membership Requirement
REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training upon becoming a REALTOR® member and every 3 years thereafter, coinciding with the Code of Ethics training timeline. This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training. Qualified training must be of not less than 2 hours of instructional time. This requirement will begin January 1, 2025, with a deadline of December 31, 2027. View FAQs here.
