Don't miss out on the fun...

Join us on Saturday, January 20th from 5:00 - 7:30pm

for our First Intergenerational Game Night!

We'll provide the pizza, drinks, and a few games.

Fun for the whole family!

Feel free to bring a snack or sweet treat and your favorite game.

Funding Our Love Story

Make your pledge to support the mission and ministries of our beloved St. Stephen's. It's easy to do and you'll feel so good doing it and keeping it. You can do so here or by placing your pledge card in the offering plate on Sunday or by mailing it to the office.

As of this morning, we have (32) pledges totaling $110,160.00! We are 86% of the way to our goal of $128,000 and we know that together we can close the gap. If you've been meaning to get to it but time has flown by, we understand. Now would be a great time to do it. If you've been unsure of how much to pledge, ask yourself how much would be a meaningful amount to express your gratitude for all that God has given you and us. If you've made a pledge and have been thinking that perhaps you could do more, go ahead and do it now.

Thanks to those who have pledged. And thanks in advance to those of you who read this message and make your pledge this week.

Other Happenings...

Camp Sunday has been rescheduled!

Helen Payanzo, Program Director at Cross Roads Camp and Retreat Center, was unable to join us last Sunday.

Come to church on Sunday, February 18th at 10:00am as we welcome representatives from Cross Roads Camp and Retreat Center. Meet Helen, hear what she has to say about camp, then stay for coffee hour to watch videos and see for yourself how impactful camp can be.

THE FOOD BARREL

If you were in church on Sunday, you were lucky enough to hear (and see) Barbara and Kira's plea to fill the food barrel.

Shoprite's semi-annual can-can sale is on for one more week. Now is the perfect time to pick up a few extra cans while out shopping and help fill the food barrel for Apostles' House.

Apostles' House provides comprehensive social services to the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in Newark and Essex County, New Jersey.

Collection bins are located outside the education building doors year-round, or inside in the Narthex.

Here are couple of dates to keep in mind, especially if you are one of our families with children or youth. If you're not one of those families, we appreciate your ongoing support of Children & Youth Ministries, whether that be by participating in the intergenerational events or including C&Y in your prayers.

Youth Group: YG will meet the second and fourth Sundays from 11:30 to 1:00. The meeting on the fourth Sunday will include specific Confirmation preparation.

First Intergenerational Game Night: Saturday, January 20th from 5:00 to 7:30pm. Join us for pizza and games. We'll provide the pizza, drinks, and a few games. Feel free to bring a snack or sweet treat and your favorite game.  To help with planning, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex or you can email Maria. No worries. If you forget to sign up, come anyway!

Elementary School Retreat at Cross Roads: Rev. Paula is the chaplain for this fun weekend at our beautiful camp. She'd love to have kids in grades 3-5 join her Friday, February 9th (7:00pm) to Sunday, February 11th (10:30am). Get more information here.

Middle School & High School Retreat at Cross Roads: March 8th thru 10th, same times as the Elementary School Retreat. Same link to get more information.

If your child/young person is interested in a retreat and you need help with the $95 fee, let Rev. Paula know. Scholarships are available.

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS NEEDED

St. Stephen's provides the coffee, tea, juice, water, sugar/sweeteners, cups, plates, utensils, and napkins.

The host(s) provide milk and food

(sweet -or- savory | bought -or- made).

Setup/cleanup is handled by our cleaning person.

The sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the narthex.

COUNTING MINISTRY

The Counting Ministry is required

for compliance with best business practices and our audit process.

Please consider joining this team, which works in pairs immediately after the service. It’s actually one of the least time-consuming and most straightforward ways you can participate in the vital ministries of this parish.

Email Maria for the signup link.
