Note from Jean Behnke
Dear Crossroads Parents,

It’s time to come in out of the cold. That must be what the dedicated construction workers on our site must be thinking. Last week I watched as outer walls went up and shingles were nailed onto the roof of our new Middle School and science center. Soon, the noise we hear will diminish, as finish work inside the building begins. Our goal is to begin classes in this building in the fall. But today I want to write to you specifically about science in the past, present, and future.

Wellness Talk Recording

Crossroads Giving
The Crossroads Fund is off to a great start! This comes as no surprise to us, as the families in our community are both wonderful and generous. Thank you to all our current families, grandparents and alumni families who have given a gift this year to support Crossroads!

Why is my participation in the Crossroads Fund important?
The tradition of giving at Crossroads is strong. At any level, your gift to the Crossroads Fund demonstrates your commitment to our school and its continued success. Participation by our entire community speaks volumes, generates enthusiasm, encourages others to give generously, and sets an example of giving back for our students.

Help us meet our goal of $175,000 and 100% participation in the Crossroads Fund.

Make your gift today!
COVID Updates
Health Office Update
As of yesterday, Grafton county has 215 identified active cases of COVID-19. Lyme has 1-4 active cases, Hanover has 18 active cases, and Lebanon has 24 active cases.
Vermont Vaccine Information
For Vermont families, please visit the vaccine portal at healthvermont.gov for up-to-date vaccine information. Sign up here for useful weekly vaccine updates from Vermont’s Department of Health. This may be a good way for Vermonters to stay up-to-date of when it will be your turn to vaccinate.
General Vaccine Update
Those who are Phase 1B-eligible may sign up at vaccines.nh.gov this Friday, January 22, 2021 and schedule their vaccination appointment.
  1. NH Governor Sununu recently announced Phase 1B to include those 65 years old and older.
  2. Any individual, regardless of age, with two or more comorbidities may have one of their physicians sign this form. Then this form may be emailed to NH DHHS. The state schedulers will receive the form and be in touch within five business days with appointment options.
Please pass this information along to your loved ones, friends, and neighbors who fall into any of these 1B categories, so they may be ready to sign up on Friday. Vaccination leading to immunity is our best bet to get us out of this pandemic.
Medical and Non-Medical Volunteers Needed for Vaccine Distribution
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “What are you doing for others?”
- Rev Dr Martin Luther King, Jr

If you find yourself in a position to volunteer during this historic time, New Hampshire is recruiting medical and non-medical volunteers. NH Responds is part of a federal effort to coordinate volunteers for broad vaccine distribution. Sign up at Nhresponds.org. After signing up at NHresponds.org, a criminal background check is required.

This may be filled out and e-mailed to David.K.Moore@hitchcock.org. There is no fee and it takes less than five minutes. Having this background check completed will ensure you are cleared to volunteer. Contact David.K.Moore@hitchcock.org (603) 359-0322 with any questions.
