Community Advisory Committee Meeting and Educational Topic
Topic: Practical Tips for Parents as we navigate the Pandemic from a mental Health and Behavioral Perspective
As we return to brick & mortar learning, mental health and behavioral success of elementary and secondary
students are an area of great need. Without a doubt, expectations throughout distance learning varied greatly
given each family’s unique circumstances. Students have returned to “in-person” instruction, demonstrating a
variety of social, behavioral, and academic skills/needs at school and at home. In this interactive presentation, we will be discussing common challenges and stressors students face, practical strategies of what caregivers can do to help, and when to know to bring in more supports/resources.
