Dear Guerin Catholic Families,

The first line of our school’s mission statement reads that Guerin Catholic is a “diocesan Catholic school.”  While this may seem unimportant to some, it defines our governance structure and how we fit into the larger Catholic community.  A desire for greater interconnectedness among the Catholic schools in our diocese fueled the integration of PowerSchool as a common student information system across all schools. Thus, Guerin Catholic is moving towards its adoption.

All GC Parents are invited to join us every Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. in the St. Joseph Chapel as we pray for our children and members of the GC Community. Deacon Rick Wagner usually gets us started with a Communion Service and then we join together in prayer.

Tuesday Treats

The Tuesday Treats Committee is reaching out to all of our dedicated parents to ask for your support in showing our appreciation and gratitude for Guerin Catholic's wonderful and hard-working faculty and staff. We are asking for your help in brightening their day by providing treats/snacks on one or more Tuesdays.

Feel free to drop off your treat between 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the staff lounge, or send in your donation with your student at drop-off.

Updated Final Exam Schedules

Just a reminder of a slight change to the Final Exam Schedule.

Each day of finals will begin at 8:30 a.m.

(previously Finals days began at 8:45 a.m.)

We wanted to give families plenty of time to make a note about this change and update their calendars.

Join us for our next Dad's Day Breakfast on Friday, February 9, at 6:30 a.m. Channel 13 and multiple Emmy Award-winnr Scott Swan will join us as the guest speaker! Swan has led WTHR's coverage of the Olympics for two decades by traveling to Greece (2004), Italy (2006), China (2008), Canada (2010), England (2012), Russia (2014), Brazil (2016), Japan (2021) and getting ready to head to France (2024)!

Register soon and, as always, we'll count in season pass holders so there is no need for them to register again.

Host Family Opportunity for Spring 2024

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to host one of the students from France who attend Guerin Catholic every spring and fall? What's holding you back? Maybe you don't speak French? You aren't a gourmet cook and your house doesn't look like a magazine? Don't worry! An adventurous spirit, a heart willing to love another teenager in your life, and your Guerin student open to being a host sibling are all that is necessary. Dates are March 30rd to April 20th. Tuition Assistance

Application Due: March 1

Any family seeking tuition assistance for the 2024-25 school year must complete a FACTS application form and upload 2023 W2s and federal tax returns by March 1st. If you have received tuition assistance in the past, you will still need to complete a new tuition assistance application to be considered for assistance in the 2024-25 school year. For questions regarding tuition assistance, please contact Betsy Grocki, our Tuition Assistance Specialist at 317.582.0120 ext 213.

24-25 Enrollment

Tuition contracts for returning families will be published in their Parent Portal on May 1st with tuition deposits due on May 20th. For questions regarding enrollment, please contact Jackie Bach, our Director of Enrollment Management,

GRIEVING WITH GREAT HOPE

Tuesdays beginning March 5 

St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Zionsville invites those mourning the loss of a loved one to attend this 5-week grief support program which offers hope and healing. Gatherings are faith-based and combine prayerful reflection, practical learning, and personal fellowship. If you know of someone who may benefit from Grieving with Great Hope, please extend an invitation.

Grieving with Great Hope is free to attend.
