Message from Deni
January 2016
Hello District 2,
Happy New Year!  I am so excited to start another year representing the concerns and needs of District 2.
This year I have the distinct pleasure of serving as vice-chair for two committees - Health, Education and Human Services, and Transportation, Housing and the Environment. I look forward to working hard on the issues impacting our County in my leadership capacity. I will also serve on the Council's Planning, Zoning and Economic Development Committee again this year.

In the coming year, I will push legislation to improve landlord-tenant relations; protect tenants who report housing deficiencies; stop the sale of automobiles on public streets; crack down on prostitution; hold accountable business owners who operate without a permit; and limit the ability of landlords to raise rents if they don't maintain their property. I welcome other ideas for ways in which we can improve our County and our community.

Don't forget that if you are a homeowner you should have received your tax assessment ! For more information please click here!

Plastic Disposable Bags FAQ
Why is the County no longer accepting single-use plastic bags in the Single-Stream
Recycling Program?

The Prince George's County Residential Curbside Single-Stream Recycling Program No LONGER accepts plastic bags of any color, size or shape and plastic film.  The plastic bags and plastic film that are currently placed into the single-stream recycling program are NOT being recycled and end up as landfill waste. The County strongly encourages residents to use reusable bags in lieu of using plastic bags.
