Ministry Happenings & Testimonies

Comunidade Cristo para Todos os Povos (Church)
São Paulo, Brasil
Sunday November 27th, 2016

7 Salvations and 3 Re-dedications

There were 8-10 first-time visitors this Sunday.  In this modest sized church this was a big deal.  What a warm, caring and loving church on fire for missions.

The pastor had reported back to us via email a few of the testimonies that He received a week or so after the service.  Here they are in his words sent to us utilizing his english understanding...

1.  Silvino Carbone, 80 years old, had a serious heart problem. He felt very tired when he walked now he walks and no longer feels the fatigue feels that he is more willing he will do tests to see how the heart is
2.  His wife D. Maria Leonilda Carbone " I had pain in my body now I no longer felt the pain "
3.  D Maria a 73 year old lady had flushing and high blood pressure problem She no longer feels her heart pound and her pressure steady
4.  There are other testimonies that we heard of a Japanese man who had knee pain and could not walk right At the time he felt the healing and walked in the church without pain.
5.  A young man with arthritis pains the joints at his elbow and in his hands felt the cure at the same moment he did not feel any more pains
6.  A lady with a pain in the neck felt touched by the power of God
7.  Another lady who had a very strong gastritis she felt a lot of pain in the stomogo She felt cured she did not feel any more pain

There are other people but I could not make the contact. All were touched by the wonderful message of the word Challenging all to believe that the same power or anointing that was in the evangelist is in each one of us.  The same Jesus who worked miracles in the past is who operates in us and we need to believe and be used in his hands.

Blessing a Community

FROM THIS...

Above Photo:  Existing recreation area in the Monte Carlo neighborhood district that we will renovate for the community.

From March 12-20 we are hosting a mission team from the Church of the Harvest in Olathe, Kansas.   www.churchoftheharvest.org  in the city of Campos do Jordāo, Brazil.  This is the same city we are working to establish the Sozo Mountain Children's Home.

A major project that will be happening during this week is the renovation of a dilapidated abandoned soccer field. Set in the valley of 6 surrounding poor neighborhoods it is the only place that the kids, teenagers and families can gather. By revitalizing this space, we will be providing the 6000 plus people who live in the immediate area with a place to have soccer clubs for the kids, a place for special events and family celebrations being a central hub for gatherings and a place where community can happen.  At the end of the week when the project is complete, we will have a dedication ceremony, with the mayor and other officials taking part as we honor those who have given to make this recreation facility a reality.  We will also have a mini-crusade to preach the "Good News" of the Gospel to this neighborhood on this very spot. We believe that this project is going to allow us to not only bless the people of this very poor and needy area, but also to see many come to faith in Jesus Christ. Check out the the design plans below...

TO THIS...

Since tit rains so much in this city, grass quickly turns into mud within weeks in such a field. We will be installing a special synthetic grass that will allow the kids to utilize this field year round.  It is a costly venture, but we felt since there is literally no other place for the families of these 6 neighborhoods that feed into this valley, that it was well worth it.  The estimated cost is roughly 35k -45K dollars.  The potential impact on this community knowing that Christians sacrificed and provided this place for them and knowing that the local churches in these neighborhoods will be able to do outreaches with kids and youth soccer clubs and other activities is enormous.

Would you help us make this a reality?  The goal is to start in mid-February with the ground preparations for the new field.  When the mission team arrives in March we will put on the finishing touches.  We need individuals and businesses to help sponsor this project. Thank you for praying for this project and believing with us that we can impact the lives of this community for Christ.

Débora's Column
I finally have some time to sit and write! What a crazy wonderful few weeks we've had! Between getting things ready on the Brazil side to be able to be gone for so long, getting to KC and jumping into Christmas and wedding mode... we were busy, but in a great way!
Bella had things so well organized, that I really didn't have to do as much as I thought I would need to. She is amazing!
I LOVE being home at Christmas time and I enjoy the cold weather, so having the wedding after Christmas, made the season even a little more special.
We often get asked how we feel about our daughter getting married, and it is so easy to answer... WE ARE SO HAPPY! I can honestly say that Mark has been a gift to our family. Watching him look at Bella as she walked towards him, was my favorite moment. He loves my baby so much! We are very grateful for Mark. Gaining a son is amazing!
I have found myself many times in this season just thanking God over and over again for His goodness.
As we find ourselves in the busyness of leaving once again, I keep reminding myself... its kind of crazy and different, but I GET TO LIVE THIS LIFE, it is a privilege and I LIVE IT FOR HIM.
Bless you all!
Much love,

Débora
