December Highlights:
We had a very busy December!
Philoptochos Christmas Lunch: Over 30 members attended lunch at Citron Bistro and bags and bags of gloves and mittens were collected for the Denver Rescue Mission.
Honoring Liz Contos:
Liz was acknowledged and congratulated by our community on Sunday, Dec 18 for receiving National Philoptochos' Certificate of Merit award at the 2016 national convention for her service and for being a member who truly embodies the spirit of Philanthropia.
Congratulations Liz!!

Bake Sale: Our A-Team bread bakers baked over 130 loaves of bread (every one of which was sold!), helping Philoptochos raise over $2200 at the Christmas bake sale.
The Christmas Lights Tour:  Senors and non-seniors took a fun ride on an RTD bus - everyone enjoyed a warm evening of singing carols and seeing the spectacular Christmas lights downtown, Windsor Gardens and the Denver Botanic Gardens.
Lunch in the Park: Seven GOYANS and their moms prepared and delivered nearly 200 meals for our Lunch in the Park service project.
Fleece Navidad: With the help of our entire community, Philoptochos delivered 115 warm up suits and vests to deserving nursing home residents and veterans.

We thank everyone who helped make December 2016 a month filled with Christian love and generosity.

We invite you to visit our Philoptochos Facebook page to keep up with all our happenings and we'll have more pictures on the church's website soon under the Philoptochos Ministry tab.
