The 2018 drone journalism forecast

"One year ago, I hoped to be able to say to you now that drone journalism took off in 2017.  This year, Poynter - along with the National Press Photographers Association, The Drone Journalism Lab at the University of Nebraska and DJI - taught nearly 400 journalists how to legally and safely fly. But the never-ending flow of local and state restrictions and the slow response of the FAA to airspace waiver requests keep drones from being the daily tool they can be. There is reason to believe 2018 will give those of us who are licensed drone pilots more freedom to fly."

There's a growing list of companies that have added language about blockchain or cryptocurrency into their names and mission statements, and it makes sense. Companies that do so see their stocks rise in value afterward. The latest company to jump on this trend is, unexpectedly, Kodak, which just launched its own KodakCoin , a cryptocurrency for photographers. Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 has been announced

Pantone has announced its Colour of the Year 2018 is Ultra Violet, or Pantone 18-3838 TCX. Unveiled in The New York Times, the announcement is based on in-depth research, trend forecasting and analysis of current culture.
"The colour we select to be our Pantone Colour of the Year is one which we think best communicates what is taking place in our global culture at a moment in time," says vice president of Pantone Laurie Pressman in an interview with Pixartprinting. "A colour we see crossing all areas of design that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude on the part of the consumers." The colour, Laurie says, is "reflective of the collective mindset... the popularity of a colour is symbolic of the age we are living in."
