Protect Our Coasts
Thursday, Jan. 10 630pm

Join us at the New England Aquarium's IMAX Theatre for a screening of video shorts that reveal the impacts of offshore oil and gas exploration and development. In response to proposed testing, W2O along with the New England Aquarium, Surfrider and other ocean advocates will host an event to empower you to defend our coast. Join us on January 10th at the Simons IMAX Theater at the Aquarium to learn about the proposed plan and what's at stake for Massachusetts. Find out how you can help protect our coastline.

The event begins with a screening of Shore Stories, a series of film shorts on offshore drilling and gas exploration. Our expert panel will end the evening with an audience-led Q&A session moderated by Vikki Spruill, President and CEO of the New England Aquarium.

Before the event, join W2O's Young Professionals at 5:30 at  Granary Tavern before heading over to NEAq for the panel. Email Emily Conklin if you are interested in joining the Young Professionals.

We had promising news to end 2018! A NARW calf was spotted off the coast of Florida. This is the first right whale calf seen in two years. It has been 10 years since this particular right whale has given birth.
We can only hope for more calves in the coming weeks.

Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
