Happy New Year from us here at COMPACT Family Services! We are excited to see our ministry grow as we seek to redeem and restore families and children.

We are excited to announce Lance Nelson as the agency's new Foster Care Director for placement services in Arkansas based from the Hillcrest Campus in Hot Springs.
As Foster Care Director, Lance will lead the agency's new Private Licensed Placement Agency foster care work in the state, which includes oversight of foster care training, recruitment, placement, case management, and deployment of the agency's evidence-based CompaCare wraparound ministry through local churches.  The agency's Foster Care Director is one of two social services directors based on the Hillcrest Campus.  LaDana Pate is the social services Residential Director.  The two are led by the agency's administrator, Brian Page, LCSW.
Previous to this directorial appointment, Lance served as a foster care specialist and residential case manager.  He succeeds Dr. Johan Mostert's establishing work as foster care director so that Dr. Mostert may give attention to the broader national growth of CompaCare alongside other agency expansion and improvements.
Lance is married to Tammy, who serves as the agency's Health Services Manager on the Hillcrest Campus for residential services.  They have two sons.  Lance is also an ordained minister.  Executive Director, Jay Mooney says, "Lance Nelson's combined pastoral and social work experience makes this an exciting and hopeful announcement for foster families and CompaCare churches at the outset of 2018."

Assemblies of God COMP ACT Family Services is pleased and excited to announce the establishment of a new fulltime Donor & Sponsorship Coordinator role for 2018.  Sharon Page will serve as the coordinator based on the Hillcrest Campus in Hot Springs, AR.

The Donor & Sponsorship Coordinator works with the Executive Director to develop and serve individual, church and business supporters of the agency's overall mission and its core ministries including, Hillcrest Children's Home, Highlands Maternity Home, Foster Care and CompaCare.  Rhonda Gant, Human Resources & Mission Teams Coordinator, will continue her donor relations work for some time with Sharon Page to ensure healthy strategic connection with current supporters so that they maintain the relational experience they deserve, need, and value in helping redeem vulnerable children and families.
Previously, Sharon served as the Executive Director for Alumni Relations at Central Bible College.  She is an ordained minister and gifted communicator.  Sharon's recent appointment is a familiar return in part.  In the 1990's, she served as a Hillcrest Children's Home relief houseparent prior to her marriage to Brian Page, now the agency's Arkansas administrator.  Sharon and Brian have a daughter and son.
Executive Director, Jay Mooney notes, "Sharon brings an experienced relational love for this ministry and passion to serve its caring donor base.  I am confident that both donors and others will enjoy her effervescent spirit and effective competence.  We are grateful for her."

COMP ACT Christmas was an incredible, life-giving experience on our campus.  Thank you to our donors, partners, and friends who helped make each child's memory one that will last forever!  We were able to share the true meaning of Christmas and provide special gifts for every student and child on our campus.

Each day, we are seeing more and more children and youth who need life changing services like we provide at COMPACT.  In order to fulfill those needs, we are looking for solid, Christ-like people to join our team.

We currently have openings in two areas: Houseparenting and Case Management.  Each of these positions are involved in the day in and day out care for the children and youth on our campus.

If this is something that you have ever considered, the timing is right! Learn more about the open positions by checking out our employment page  here .

Below is a list of the  birthdays for our children and students on campus. When a birthday comes around, it is often a sad experience for our students due to being away from family, or missing out on a special memory.  Consider sending a card of encouragement to uplift our students and brighten his or her day on their birthday!
