To the Cape Cod Tech Community:

Happy New Year! I am very excited for 2019. If you have visited the campus in the last three weeks you would know that construction for The New Cape Cod Tech has commenced. We are truly very excited about the process and of course the end result. You can follow the process as well. Brait Builders has set up a live still photo cam that takes picture several times every day. Please click here to watch the progress: Construction Webcam

This month we honor Martin Luther King Jr.. On Monday, January 21st school is closed as we observe his birthday. (The actual date of his birth is Jan. 15th.) As we remember and honor his legacy, we should recall his teachings as they may help guide us in this new year. For 2019, I would like to share an MLK Jr quote that can help all of us live a more positive life:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

As we move forward as a community and as a nation, I hope that 2019 can be about togetherness as opposed to divisiveness. As King warned us, " We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."

Winter is coming.....In case of inclement weather this winter, you will receive a phone call by the Superintendent when a decision is made. You can also check our   website Facebook Twitter , text message, app and local tv or radio stations for updates as well.

Again in this email we have included several documents, letters, flyers and bus routes to be sure you are up to date on all the needed information. See all the news in the sections below.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at:  [email protected] or at (508)432-4500 ext 216.
Thank you,

William Terranova, Principal

Attendance Matters

96.1%!!!!
That was our 1st trimester attendance rate! That is fantastic. Parents and students we need to keep this up! Attendance matters.

The state expects a 95% rate for student attendance. We want to achieve a 95.9% rate for the year. We can do this, but students need to come to school everyday. No excuses. Remember, your boss will expect you at work everyday, and so will your co-workers. Build healthy habits now. Come to school because we want you here!

Food Services Information

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The new school year is upon us, and we want to extend a warm welcome and let you know that Cape Cod Tech's School Food & Nutrition Services has some exciting plans in place for serving your child nutritious and delicious meals at school.  Our mission is to ensure that we not only serve healthy and well-balanced meals, but foods your children will want to eat.
The District utilizes a Point of Sales (POS) system called Meals Plus to increase the level of service to families and to provide more accurate school meal accounting. One of the biggest advantages to Meals Plus is the ability to allow parents to prepay for meals. Every student will be assigned a four digit PIN # which they will use each day to pay for their lunch and/or breakfast. When they type their PIN into the number pad, their picture will appear on the cashier's screen along with their name, grade, and account balance. Any money that the student gives the cashier will be deposited into their account.

If you have any questions please contact me in the food service office at 508-255-8800 ext. 120 or email  [email protected]
I look forward to serving your children delicious and nutritious meals!

Thank you,

Susan Murray, SNS
Director of Food & Nutrition Services
