Unless otherwise noted, registration for Babylon patrons
begins online, by phone, or at the Circulation Desk Thursday, December 12.

  Out of district residents may register Thursday, December 26 .  A valid library card is required for each registrant.  Programs with fees must be registered for in person at the Circulation Desk.  No online registration will be permitted for these programs.
NOTE:  By taking part in our programs, your photo may be used in library publicity.

Honor and Memorial Program
Books honor the memory of loved ones, living or deceased, and serve as living tributes that enrich the community.  Whether celebrating a birthday, anniversary, holiday or congratulating a friend, the Babylon Public Library Honor and Memorial Program allows you to honor a special someone by making a donation in their name.  A commemorative bookplate  will be placed inside the book's cover.  This can be a onetime or perpetual donation.  If you are interested in this program, please see the Reference Librarian for more information. 
GRADES 5 - 12
Friday, December 20

Escape the library is a fun interactive game taking place right here at our library. Find hidden objects, figure out the clues, and solve the puzzles to earn your freedom. Please arrive promptly. Doors will be closed at 3:30, no latecomers allowed! Registration is currently underway for students entering Grades 5-12.

Tuesday, January 28
3:30 - 4:30 PM
Teens will decorate onesies with special messages for babies in need and will also create cards to accompany them. One hour of community service will be given. Registration begins on Thursday, December 12 for students entering Grades 5-12.

The Library now has one study room available for Babylon card holders on a first come, first served basis.  There is a 2 hour limit to use the room and you must sign in at the Reference Desk.
The Library does not allow tutoring on the main floor.  During December, we will attempt to set aside a room for tutoring, when possible, on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:30 - 6:30 PM, on Thursdays from 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:30 AM- 4:30 PM.  Please call ahead to confirm. 
NOTE:  The library is glad to provide reasonable accommodations for patrons with special needs.  Please call us two weeks prior to a program to make arrangements.
