The Great Valley Community Organization helps build a strong, vibrant and connected community by providing facilities, activities and programs enriching the lives of all local residents.
January 2019 GVCO Newsletter
2019 will be a monumental year for the Great Valley community! GVCO has finally navigated the maze of governmental and regulatory approval processes throughout the course of 2018. After an extraordinary amount of effort, GVCO will take ownership of the property on Bacton Hill Road the 4th week of January, and shortly thereafter begin the process of building a brand new 41,000 square foot GVCO community center. The facility can’t come soon enough; but when the doors open in late 2019/early 2020, it will be the state of the art, world-class facility we have been working towards…many years in the making. COMMUNITY CORNER
DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
GVCO is very optimistic about the coming year! As we start the year there will be new programs, new families and new opportunities. Look around the area and it’s obvious, with the various new neighborhoods, along with growing corporate and retail presence, there will be lots of friendly new faces. Why does Great Valley continue to grow? Because of the fabulous people that have been living and working here, who have created a very desirable community to be a part of. And as all these new faces weave themselves into the fabric of our community, they too will likely make the community that much better.

As you read earlier in the newsletter, a new community center will begin to take shape in the middle of an old cornfield on Bacton Hill Rd. It will be a place where the entire community will have an opportunity to come together. There will continue to be challenges. A larger number of volunteers to manage the growing numbers in our programs. A renewed effort of financial philanthropy by the community in order to be able to finish this world-class facility. A growing need to create new types of programming so the entire community can benefit. As well as striving to continue to help those families in our community who are less fortunate.

The new year, brings new beginnings…and GVCO and the Great Valley community will undoubtedly embrace that like we have always done. We will take on the challenges, plug along, moving forward and continue to make Great Valley greater.
