Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!

As we reflect on the past year there is one word that sums it up to me, “Evolve”. An appropriate word, as it is part of our mission tagline Educate.Empower.Evolve. A lot was accomplished this past year, a merger where Taconnet Federal Credit Union joined with our credit union, the expansion of new products and services for our members and competitive rates while maintaining a low fee structure. With the completion of the merger, I am happy to report that overall things went very smoothly. Even with all the planning and trying to anticipate the unknown, there were some bumps along the way and I would like to thank the members and staff for your patience and support during this transition. I am humbled with all the positive feedback that we received from our members, letting us know how pleased they were with the merger.

Also, this past year we purchased a plot of land on Silver Street with plans to start construction of a new main office in the spring of 2019 in which we will move our Grove Street operation to the new facility. The plan is to still maintain our Grove Street location for back-office operations. With the merger and the tremendous growth that we have experienced over the past five years, we have outgrown our current location. The board felt it was necessary for our main office to remain in our original charter area, just a few blocks from where our credit union first began in the mid-1950's. This new location will also provide more visibility than our current location. We anticipate that we will be moving into and opening our new location in early 2020. We owe all of our great success to you, our members, and with that, I would like to wish all of you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

5 “Financially Fit” Goals That We Think Einstein Would Approve Of!
Make 2019 the year you improve your financial security
You’ve probably heard the famous quote by Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Here’s one you may have not heard before by French writer and poet, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, “A goal without a plan is just a wish.” So, if we were to combine the two quotes and stated it very simply, it might sound something like, “If you are stuck in the same old rut and want to go in a different direction, set a goal and outline a plan to get there.”

Like millions of people, you may be tired of being in debt...
