On Tuesday, November 27th, the NPS Robotics Teams got a rare treat: A Skype visit from the enigmatic and actively working Astronaut,  Sunita Williams ! The team members, comprised of students in grades 5 - 8, were able to introduce themselves to Suni, as she goes by, and ask her questions about her experience in space. They were also able to share with Suni their research projects as part of the First Lego League program. Students on the robotics teams are researching how prolonged time in space affects astronauts both physically and mentally. We cannot thank Sunita enough for her in-depth answers and the precious time she gave to our NPS students!

The robotics teams will be competing at State Qualifying tournaments at The Gordon School on Saturday, December 8th and at Rocky Hill School on Saturday, December 15th for a chance to compete at the State Championship at Roger Williams University in January.
Helping put everyone in the holiday spirit, our Winter Concert was held December 13. Festive music by our string ensemble was conducted by Ms. Chen, band conducted by Mr. Healey and Mr. Caputo and our chorus was conducted by Mr. Simeone. Ms. Kane from Narragansett High School was the accompanist.

Once again the PTO's Holiday Gift Shop was a success thanks to the many parents who volunteered their time during this busy season to help students with their Christmas purchases. A special thank you to the volunteers that organized the gift shop from start to finish.
Hello all,

With the Holidays fast approaching we would love to spread the word about AmazonSmile. From July-September we made $7.73. The percentage they donate is .5% and every little bit helps. FYI***This week only until Fri-November 2nd they donate 5% (5x more).

If you already have an Amazon account its as easy as signing in through   smile.amazon.com . You will then be prompted to select who you are supporting with your purchases. Its as easy as one two three.
*1 Sign into  smile.amazon.com .
*2 When prompted simply type Narragansett.
*3 A list will appear for you to select Narragansett Schools PTO and that's it.
You only have to do that once and every time you think to make any Amazon purchase log in through  smile.amazon.com  and it will already be assigned to the PTO. It's that easy. Please spread the word to your family, friends, teachers, neighbors etc and our next deposit should be something to talk about. Thank you. Marilyn
