Happy New Year, Tiger Families!
We hope this newsletter finds you still enjoying a wonderful winter break! We will be back in action on Monday, January 6 and can't wait to see all our smiling faces!
We have a fairly uneventful January (unless the polar vortex returns-yikes) to help us ease back into the regular swing of school. On January 10th our PTO hosts a Snowball Social for our 4th and 5th grade students. It is held in our cafeteria with dance music and snacks; always a fun time for them to hang out with their friends. We then clean up and get ready for family movie night. Students will be voting on the movie when we return and families are welcome to bring blankets, enjoy popcorn and hot cocoa, and watch the movie. We hope to see you all there!
Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for Friday, February 28th. It is our annual Souper Supper and auction. Come and enjoy soup and desserts, free entertainment, and bid on our raffle and silent auction items. PTO will be contacting folks to volunteer at this event shortly.
If you haven't taken the time to fill out Illinois 5 Essentials Survey, please do so. We need at least 20% parent participation to get information/data back from the state. I shared the data with you at the beginning of this year and it really does help us plan and improve. Thanks, in advance, for your time in filling it out. Here is the link:
Wishing you all the best in this new year to come!
