The City of Jacksonville will conduct elections for the City Council District 2 and District 4 seats. To file, please see the official notice in the below link.

- Cherokee County subscribes to a system called 'Code Red' to inform residents in case of emergency. Many Jacksonville citizens' subscribe to these emergency alerts.
- The Code Red system is undergoing a switch-over from a previous provider to Rave Mobile Safety, and all subscribers have received a mobile notification regarding this transition.
- If you wish to continue receiving these emergency alerts, you do need to update your information with link in the notification or at the link below.

Two JISD Students Honored by Fire Department
|

Ta’Kyeria Montgomery, JHS 9th-grade. Ta'Kyeria helped save the life of her teacher, Mrs. Jan Gowin, by recognizing the signs of a stroke and quickly requesting medical attention.
Olivia Boggs, JMS 7th-grade. When her school bus driver had a medical episode, Olivia took a leadership role in keeping her fellow students calm until help could arrive.

With JHS cheerleaders flanking the trail to start their run, participants of Trinity Mother Frances' Jingle Jog enjoyed a competition mixed with the Holiday spirit. Santa arrived from the North Pole in a helicopter!
