Each furthers our goal of making sure Teaneck is as great a place to grow old as it is to grow up.
Coming Soon! New Senior Building and Community Center
Ground will be broken this spring on an affordable senior-citizen apartment building on Teaneck Road that will house a new community health-and-wellness center. The new 40-unit building will be a model for the type of community-based supportive services that help older residents age in place. Read More

The Bright Side Family received a grant from Bergen County Division of Senior Services to create a new money-management assistance program for older residents struggling to stay on top of bill-paying and other financial tasks. Read More

A transformation is underway at Bright Side Manor in Teaneck – an expansion that will allow the non-profit-run community residence to respond to changing times and continue serving as one of the region’s few affordable assisted living alternatives. Read More

Age-Friendly Teaneck Awarded Grant From Teaneck Philanthropy
Age-Friendly Teaneck is gratified to have the backing of another prominent community partner

The Alfred N. Sanzari Family Foundation recently awarded Age-Friendly Teaneck a $5,000 grant to support our initiative in its 6th year as we seek to expand education, outreach and programs to Teaneck’s older residents.
Free Seminars on Housing Options and Supports for Older Adults
Aging is not a one-size-fits-all issue. Needs and desires vary widely, especially on where and how to live.
That's why New Jersey Advocates for Aging is offering free virtual seminars exploring the wide range of housing options and supports for older adults.
This 4-part series will air online Wednesdays in February at 4 p.m.
Feb. 2 − Session 1: Planning and Adapting to Stay in Your Home
Feb. 9 − Session 2: Help in the Home
Feb. 16 − Session 3: Senior Residential Options
Feb. 23 − Session 4: Policy & Plans for New and Innovative Solutions

Teaneck Library Has a New Program Teaching Technology Skills
Teaneck eCitizen Program
This 6-week certificate course for adults teaches critical skills to navigate our digital world.
