President's Message

PRAYER IN 2020
In our “woke” culture, meditation is being promoted nearly everywhere, including professional settings, while at the same time we witness a discouragement of prayer. In fact, national studies have shown that the health benefits of prayer and meditation are the same in alleviating stress and helping maintain a positive outlook. Meditation is a mental exercise focusing thought and heightening spiritual awareness, but prayer is all that and so much more. Prayer is a reminder that God walks with us. Prayer is to recognize our own mortality, show gratitude, and a means to seek healing or forgiveness. Prayer is to exercise our religious liberty. Prayer is powerful.

In 2020, let us pray for many things. Let us pray that Americans remember that our history was no accident. Let us pray that those in elected office remain faithful to God and to their oaths of office. Let us pray that enemies of liberty are defeated and lose all positions of influence. Let us pray for peace. Let us pray for grace and courage as we work together for the re-election of President Donald J. Trump and for all candidates who share our Republican agenda of smaller and responsible government and a culture of life. Pray, pray, pray my friends.

May God bless us all,
  Bonnie Jackson
