Happy New Year from the Center for Irish Music,

I hope each of you had a chance to relax and enjoy time with loved ones over the holiday season. Looking back to 2019, I'd like to thank our engaged, enthusiastic students and supporters for such a wonderful year at the Center for Irish Music. Check our the year in review that we created in our 2018-19 Annual report (click forward to page 4).

Looking ahead to 2020, it's time to register for Spring Term classes and to reserve your table/tickets for Éigse CIM, A Gaela Event on February 22nd. Also, the shop is open for silent auction donations and WOW raffle donations!

Mark your calendars for the 12th Annual Minnesota Irish Music Weekend coming on June 11-14th, when the Center for Irish Music brings world-class Irish teachers and artists to St. Paul for an inspiring weekend of workshops and performances. The artist lineup will be announced soon.

Finally, scholar and musician Fintan Vallely is coming through town to visit a good friend and is dropping by CJAC's Eoin McKiernan Library for a free talk at 7:30pm on January 10, "Clattering feet and thumping the bodhrán - the percussive impulse in Irish music." Don't miss this chance to meet Fintan, and hear him talk about Irish music.

Spring Term Registration is now open!
The deadline for spring group class registration is  January 16th. Please  register now  if you are interested in taking a group class with the Center for Irish Music! Spring term starts January 27th and runs through May 24th.

Join us at Éigse CIM, a Gaela Event!
February 22, 2020
Join the Center for Irish Music on Saturday, February 22nd for Éigse CIM, a Gaela Event, our biggest fundraiser of the year! Don't miss this fabulous evening, including a traditional Irish dinner, a concert by celebrated CIM instructors, a silent auction, and more!

Dinner and Concert Guests
Come at 5pm and join CIM Instructors and the Advanced Youth Ensemble as we kick off the evening with a family-style Irish dinner. Dinner and concert tickets are $85.

Table Sponsors 
For $1000.00, sponsor a dinner table with seating for 10, and receive 3 complimentary bottles of wine (or pitchers of beer) to toast a magical evening! Table sponsors may choose to completely fill a table with 10 personal guests, or may ask to include a few CIM instructors to join them their table for dinner. Special thanks to all who gather a table of friends in support of CIM!
Concert-only Guests
Arrive at 7pm to enjoy the Silent Auction reception and a stellar concert featuring the CIM Instructors. Concert-only tickets are $25.00 per person in advance, $30 at the door.
Éigse Volunteers Needed!
Éigse CIM, a Gaela Event, couldn't happen without the energy of our wonderful volunteers! There are many roles to choose from, including decorators, dinner servers, set up and break down crews, and more. We'll thank you for your support with a meal, fantastic music and excellent company.
