Happy New Year!
As you make plans for 2020, be sure to include the OhioMTA State/Ohio University Piano Pedagogy Conference . This combined conference will be held June 25-27, 2020 on the Ohio University campus, and will feature George Li as Conference Artist. (There will be no fall Conference this year.) Registration will open in February, so stay tuned!

What is Pedagogy Saturday?
Pedagogy Saturday is an intensive, one-day event that provides insight on various topics popular in the music teaching profession.  Arrive early to experience this in-depth pre-conference tradition!
This year's Pedagogy Saturday has something for everyone.  The four tracks include Teaching Artistry, Musician Wellness, Recreational Music Making and Young Professionals. Attendees can mix and match the sessions to maximize their preconference experience!
Winter Pedagogy Conference
OhioMTA Southwest District, in conjunction with NKyMTA and NKU School of the Arts invites you to attend this year's Winter Pedagogy Conference featuring Frederic Chiu , guest artist and clinician, February 7-8, 2020 in Greaves Recital Hall at Northern Kentucky University (Cincinnati metro area). OhioMTA State Buckeye Auditions - June 12-13, 2020
Each spring, highly motivated students in piano, string, voice, woodwinds, brass, and guitar compete at the District level. One winner in each participating category is selected to perform as a finalist in the state-level Buckeye Competition, held in June. Winners earn cash prizes. The site for the 2020 state competition is Malone University.
