Everett Baker Award
Know a person or organization who has gone "above and beyond" for Saskatchewan's heritage? The Saskatchewan and History Folklore Society invite you to submit an nomination for this Award by February 1, 2020 .
If you are a small community museum or heritage organization, you could receive an investment of $15,000 to share your story online. The  Virtual Museum of Canada  is proud to launch a new call for proposals as part of its small  Community Stories  investment stream. You have until  February 5, 2020  to  submit your proposal .
PCDSCR CEDP Grant
The Community Engagement and Development Program Grant (CEDP) is to engage and develop projects that will enhance communities now and in the future. The deadline for projects in April, May and June of 2020 is  February 15, 2020 . Information and forms can be found here .

Next Museum Selfie Day is January 15, 2020
Museum Selfie Day is an Internet campaign that encourages people to visit museums, snap a selfie and post the pic using the hashtag #MuseumSelfieDay.     As some museums may not know about the day, make sure to check in with the front office before heading in to see if cameras are allowed . This is an opportunity that "emphasizes the importance of enjoying art, archaeology, science, photography and other forms of art in a museum." Check it out here .

CAAWS announced the release of a new resource for after school program supervisors, " Healthy Minds in Active Bodies ". This resource makes the link between physical activity and mental health, and provides a practical resource with information on building mental health and resiliency among children and youth, suggestions for program enhancements, and guidelines on how to talk to children, parents and staff about the issues.
